On August 16, the ship "Marine Pinocchio" successfully called at the third-phase terminal of the Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port, marking the official maiden voyage of the ALX direct route from the West Coast of Singapore Marine Service to the Nansha Port Area.

It is understood that the ALX route is the first US-West express route opened by Marine Shipping in the Nansha port area. Initially, 6 4900TEU-6350TEU container ships will be used for bi-weekly operations, and will be upgraded to weekly operations in the future. The port order of this route is: Nansha-Ningbo-Longtan-Nansha. As hinterland customers generally face the logistics dilemma of “difficult to find one cabin” and “difficult to find one container”, Nansha Port, as the only port of call for ALX routes in southern China, has joined hands with Sealing Shipping to serve the hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
