The latest ranking of the top 100 global liner companies (2021.7)

According to the latest data released by Alphaliner, as of July 10, the number of container ships in operation in the world totaled 6,225, with a total capacity of 24,808,200 TEU, equivalent to 298 million deadweight tons. Among them, the total capacity of the top three liner companies accounted for 45.38% of the global market. The top three global liner companies in terms of capacity are Maersk Line (4,182,800 TEU, accounting for 16.86%), Mediterranean Shipping (404.74 TEU, accounting for 16.31%) and CMA CGM (3,028,700 TEU, accounting for 12.21%). Alphaliner pointed out that the fourth and tenth place in terms of capacity are: COSCO Shipping Group, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Shipping, Yangming Shipping and Wanhai Shipping. Among them, the top seven have a capacity of more than 1 million TEU. The 11th to 20th places are: Star Shipping, Taiping Shipping, Korea Shipping (KMTC), Iran Air (IRISL), SITC International, Zhonggu Shipping, X-Press Feeders Group, Antong Holdings, Changjin Merchant Shipping and UniFeeder. Among the mainland liner companies on the list, COSCO Shipping Lines ranks 4th, SITC International ranks 15th, Zhonggu Xinliang Shipping ranks 16th, and Antong Holdings (Quanzhou Ansheng Shipping) ranks 18th. Sinotrans Container Lines ranked 26th, Ningbo Ocean Shipping ranked 37th, China United Shipping ranked 38th, Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping ranked 40th, Dalian Tradewind ranked 46th, Taicang Port Container Shipping ranked 55th, and Tianjin Datong Shipping ranked 76th, Hai’an Xingang Port ranked 91st, Guangxi Hongxiang Shipping ranked 95th, Shanghai Rongshang Logistics ranked 96th, and Dalian Jifa Rim Bohai Container Line ranked 99th.
