Guangzhou Port adds direct flights to Thailand, ushering in LNG-powered container ships

The Thai route CTS made its maiden voyage to Nansha Port. The CTS route is currently operated by Taiping Shipping and Mariana with two 1080TEU container liners. Korea Shipping and Asia Sea Shipping have joined the co-cabin. They call at Nansha Port area every Saturday, and the port order is Nansha-Shekou-Linchabang-Bangkok- Laem Chabang-Nansha provides two-way direct flights between Nansha and Laem Chabang and Bangkok. The CTS route is one of the Thai routes with the fastest schedule in South China. This route is equipped with about 200 reefer plugs, and Lin Chabang will go directly to Nansha in 4 days. It will provide customers with competitive refrigerated goods services to meet the consumer demand for Thailand's high-quality agricultural products and aquatic products. Guangzhou Port Group said on the 6th that the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered container ship "CMA CMA CGM Royal Palace" has recently berthed at Nansha Phase II. The 23,000 TEU container ship "CMA CGM Royal Palace" is one of the series of LNG-powered container ships. It is understood that the ship has a total length of 400 meters, a width of 61 meters, a height of 78 meters, a deadweight of nearly 220,000 tons, and a carrying capacity of 23,000 TEUs. It is currently the largest dual-fuel container ship in the world. Compared with fuel oil, liquefied natural gas fuel can reduce 99% of sulfur and fine particulate matter emissions; reduce 85% of nitrogen dioxide emissions and up to 20% of carbon dioxide emissions. According to reports, Guangzhou Port strictly manages ships and personnel. In order to ensure the ship's berthing in Nansha Port area, Nansha Phase II plans and deploys in advance based on the power, ship type, draft and other conditions of the large ship. In recent years, the Nansha Port Area has followed the large-scale development of container ships, and has continuously promoted the upgrading and optimization of terminal berths and facilities, and has the ability to call the world's largest container ship. Since the beginning of this year, it has received more than 50 container ships with more than 20,000 TEUs. In terms of epidemic prevention, Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd. issued a notice on the latest epidemic prevention and control measures in Nansha Port. Drivers entering and leaving the port must meet the epidemic prevention requirements of Nansha District, such as scanning code and temperature measurement. In order to further control the risk of epidemic input in the port area, truck drivers entering and leaving the Nansha port area should make an online appointment to enter the port, the temperature measurement is normal, and the Yuekang code green code can enter the gate. After the truck leaves the terminal, in accordance with the principle of “point-to-point” closed-loop management of epidemic prevention by the Nansha District Government, only the Nansha Port Expressway and the highway connected to it can be selected.
