The latest ranking of the top 100 global liner companies (2021.3)

According to the latest data released by Alphaliner, as of March 1, the number of container ships in operation in the world totaled 6,231, with a total capacity of 24.355 million TEU, equivalent to 294 million deadweight tons. Among them, the total capacity of the top three liner companies accounted for 45.27% of the global market. The top three global liner companies are still Maersk Line (4.123 million TEU, accounting for 16.93%), Mediterranean Shipping (3.869 million TEU, accounting for 15.89%) and COSCO Shipping Group (3.034 million TEU, accounting for 12.46%). Alphaliner pointed out that the transportation capacity ranked fourth and tenth in order: CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Shipping, Yangming Shipping and Star Shipping. Among them, the top seven have a capacity of more than 1 million TEU. Ranked 11th to 20th in order: Wan Hai Shipping, Taiping Shipping, Zhonggu Shipping, Korea Shipping (KMTC), Iran Air (IRISL), Antong Holdings, X-Press Feeders Group, SITC International, UniFeeder and Changjin Merchant shipping. Among the mainland liner companies on the list, COSCO Shipping Lines ranked 3rd, Zhonggu Xinliang Shipping ranked 13th, Antong Holdings (Quanzhou AXA Shipping) ranked 16th, and SITC International ranked 18th. Sinotrans Container Lines ranked 26th, Ningbo Ocean Shipping ranked 37th, Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping ranked 41st, Dalian Tradewind Shipping ranked 44th, Taicang Port Container Shipping ranked 57th, Tianjin Datong Shipping ranked 80th, Shanghai Rongshang Logistics ranked 92nd, Dalian Jifa Rim Bohai Container Line ranked 95th, and Guangxi Hongxiang Shipping ranked 98th.
